Description | A condition is pathological or non-pathological state that presents with symptoms. It is 'that what the patient has'. A health professional can assign a (differential) diagnosis to the condition. The symptoms as well as the diagnostic insight with respect to the same condition may change over time. |
Purpose | This Condition resource represents the Condition building block for implementations following the information standard [CiO](https://informatiestandaarden.nictiz.nl/wiki/Landingspagina_Contra-indicaties_en_Overgevoeligheden), as well as concepts related to the diagnosis from the HypersensitivityIntolerance and Reaction building blocks. This profile is based on the Dutch zib ('Zorginformatiebouwsteen', i.e. Health and Care Information Model) Condition that is part of the 2024 prepublication, but also contains several concepts from the zibs HypersensitivityIntolerance and Reaction. Therefore it has no dependency on a corresponding nl-core profile and mappings to zib concepts are not defined. Instead mappings to the CiO data set have been added. It is the intention to derive this profile from a more general nl-core-Condition profile in the future. |
